Just a few short years ago, sustainability was perceived as a nice-to-have luxury for those who could afford it. Now, the green economy is the economy. During this pertinent time, the WGES, hosted at Expo 2020 Dubai, aims to propel action to deliver a sustainable future under the theme “Galvanising action for a sustainable recovery”.
Our mission is to provide a platform to build consensus around the potential of technologies, policies and youth as engines of a green economy transformation. It will demonstrate how global priorities, such as meeting NetZero, protecting habitats and mobilising finance, can translate into national blueprints.
Together with our partner Plant-for-the-Planet we can tackle climate crises and create a sustainable, low-carbon future for all. We mobilize the conservation, restoration, and growth of 100 million trees by the end of 2030. Together we plant the seeds for a more sustainable future. Join in!

What’s this about?
For every tree donated, a tree is planted and cared for on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico. Our partner Plant-for-the-Planet transfers all donations to your selected planting project. Every tree helps fight the climate crisis by capturing carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in itself and in the soil.
