ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION OF THE SERRA DE QUERALT
Restoration of the forest mass affected by the forest fire of July 24, 2021, which was declared to the municipalities of Bellprat, Santa María de Miralles, San Martín de Tous, Las Pilas, Santa Coloma de Queralt and Pontils, with a total area of 1,823.90 ha, of which 1,388.84 ha are forested. Most of the affected area is included in the Protected Natural Space of the Central Precoastal System and in the Natura 2000 Network.

Objective and species
The objective of the restoration is to increase the diversity of forest species, improving the floristic and faunal biodiversity of the area and protecting it from possible future fires. For this, plantations will be made with the following species:
- Quercus ilex
- Quercus faginea
- Olea europaea var sylvestris
- Punica granatum
- Prunus dulcis
- Juglans regia
- Sorbus domestica
- Crataegus monogyna
