Since our foundation in 2004, we have already halved our emissions - from 6.5 million tons of CO2 to 3.2 million tons. Now we are taking the second step: LANXESS will become climate neutral by 2040. To accomplish this we’re partnering with Plant-for-the-Planet and inviting everyone to plant native trees with us. We want to offset our residual emissions by planting trees in Brazil and supporting restoration organizations.
Thus, we also indirectly support the creation of green jobs and the recovery of springs and water bodies.

What’s this about?
For every tree donated, a tree is planted and cared for in the Yucatan. Our partner Plant-for-the-Planet transfers all donations to your selected planting project. Every tree helps fight the climate crisis by capturing carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in itself and in the soil.
